"God grants everyone the ability to dream and

make choices.  My choice, my passion, has been

to work as a professional artist from a very

young age."

Simply stated, " I love what I do!"

Sharon BuMann began working as a professional sculptor in 1977. She holds an Associates Degree  in Graphic Arts,  a BFA in Sculpture, post graduate credits from Lyme Academy and University of Hartford Connecticut.  Additionally, she has spent many years taking workshops with other professional sculptors, traveling and doing a vast amount of independent study.  Life long learning has always been a strong part of her passion for art.

BuMann's current  works include traditional fine art sculpture, bronze monuments, architectural collaborations, and butter sculptures. Sharon has worked in a variety of materials throughout her career.  Her creations range in scale from miniature to monumental.

Sharon BuMann incorporates an uncompromised energy to achieve the finest expression of vision and execution.   Be it, equine, historic, figurative or simply the narrative genre, the spirit of BuMann's sculptures captivate her audiences. Her public commissions are widely hailed and personal works have been collected and  honored in various shows and competitions throughout the United States and abroad.

Sharon feels it is important to take time to share her knowledge and experience through lecturing and teaching sculpture classes. Recently, BuMann expanded BuMann Sculpture Studios to include TRS (Technical Restoration Service) dedicated to the restoration of existing bronzes.  She has been sought after for her expertise in refurbishing public monuments by many acclaimed sculptors of antiquity.
